Do want to share your love for anime with your friends and family but don’t know where to start? Do you want anime that has characters with charisma and charm to make an entire series into a glorious package of fun and cuteness? If you do, oh boy, do I have anime for you.

10. Himouto! Umaru-chan

People are not always who they appear to be, as is the case with Umaru Doma, the perfect high school girl—that is, until she gets home! Once the front door closes, the real fun begins. When she dons her hamster hoodie, she transforms from a refined, over-achieving student into a lazy, junk food-eating otaku.

Do you want to watch something that will put a smile on your face regardless of what mood you are in? Then this anime is for you. The plot of the story isn’t exciting or extravagant, but it is entertaining. If you have ever had an annoying sibling, especially a younger sibling then you will find the relationship between Umaru-chan and Taihei comedic and relatable. In all honesty the sibling love they share is touching. Having two younger siblings and older siblings, I can relate to both Umaru-chan and Taihei. This is a fun anime to watch with friends and family.

This is a heartwarming anime. Every character in this series has a personality and charm leading you to feel invested about them. While the series isn’t heavy in storytelling, there is charm in how the characters interact with each other in their daily lives. The light humor in the anime makes it even more enjoyable to watch. Along with her companion Chito, a black cat familiar, they embark on a journey to Aomori, a region favored by witches due to its abundance of nature and affinity with magic.

I choose this anime because I love witches, magic and it reminded me so much of Kiki’s Delivery Service. Little did I know, how much I was going to enjoy this show. The characters are enchanting and alluring with their down to earth personalities. The setting of Aomori is absolutely stunning from the lush landscapes to the aerial shots of the town and surrounding environment.
