Thanks to the branching out of anime on major platforms such as Netflix and Hulu. Many different animes are now accessible to many anime lovers and viewers. Although theses platforms have popular animes, there still few animes that go under the radar. Check out these fun and whimsical animes.

10. Back Street Girls: Gokudolls

  • Genre: Comedy, Ecchi, Seinen

If you like comedy and a ridiculous plotline then you’ll love Back Street Girls: Gokudolls. We follow 3 Yakuza underlings Kentaro, Ryo and Kazuhiko become idols after failing a mission. Forcing into a sex change the debut as Airi, Mari and Chika, the Gokudols. Fall in love with this idol group who are Yakuza at heart.


9. Hi-Score Girl

Like gaming? Like anime? Then Hi-Score Girl is a must watch for you. Hi-Score Girl provides a nostalgic 90s arcade style anime. This anime brings the love playing an arcade anime in your youth with anime. Hi-Score Girl is a comical anime revolving around the life of gamer Haruo Yaguchi and female gamer Akira Ono.

8. Baki

Baki is a down right fighting anime. If you enjoy martial arts or bloody over the top fights, then Baki is your show. We fall Baki on his journey to surpass his father Yujiro Hanma who is said to be the strongest fighter.

This a classic tale of how two people from different words are brought together by classical music. Seis Manos is an interesting action pack anime that takes place in Mexico. We follow three orphans Isabela, Jesus and Sliencio who are taken in by a kung-fu master Chiu. He trains this trio in the ways of Kung-Fu and Chinese Martial arts. When their town is attacked by supernatural forces the trio must work together to save their town and themselves.
